Kristine L. Ford
Kristine L. Ford (BS, ’73, psychology) resides in Riverwoods, Illinois, with her husband Michael. Kris earned an MBA from the Lake Forest School of Management, and is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter holder (retired). Currently, Kris serves as a trustee for the Village of Riverwoods, the chair of the Finance Committee of the NSSRA (North Suburban Special Recreation Association), an advisor to Ativo Capital Management LLC, a member of the UIAA Finance Committee, and a member of the University of Illinois Foundation. During her career as an institutional investment consultant, she advised public pension funds on structure and execution including minority and women-owned investment manager programs. Kris volunteers with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, and supports Women In Need Growing Stronger (WINGS), an organization for abused women and children. "Memories dearest to me are those of my college roommates and our life on campus in Champaign-Urbana. I am proud to say the University of Illinois was my academic, professional, and life launching pad. I hope to build support for the College of LAS as the source of a broad and intellectually challenging launching pad for future generations."
