Project TIMelines

General Timeline for Print Projects

Planning and Consultation

Preparation is the key to successful projects, and the earlier you can begin the process, the better, particularly if the project is new. We like to talk with you about your goals and various options.

In general, for new projects we recommend you contact our office 8 to 12 weeks before you want the final project.

Design

A typical project requires about 4 weeks from the receipt of final copy and all photos to create a draft design. A longer time is required if we need to produce art.

Proofing and Final Corrections

Allow yourself 1 week to carefully proof the draft design. We can usually make simple text corrections within days, but if substantial design changes are requested, the project will take longer.

Printing

Standard turnaround time for traditional printing is 10 working days. For some projects, particularly smaller quanitites, we recommend digital printing, which can take only a few days.

Additional Project Timelines

Mass Emails

After the receipt of the final copy, a minimum of 3 weeks is needed to obtain the email download and prepare the text.

Surveys and Focus Groups

Producing a survey or orchestrating a focus group requires extensive planning in order to obtain valid data, sometimes several months. Please contact us as soon as you begin considering this option.
