- LAS 122
All incoming, first-year students at the University of Illinois are required to take an orientation course. LAS James Scholars take LAS 122.
- Honors Credit and Experiences
LAS James Scholars can earn Honors Credit by taking an Honors Integrated Course or working on projects with faculty. Honors Experiences can also be substituted for Honors Credit.
- Undergraduate Research
LAS Honors values undergraduate research and is looking to support these opportunities for all our students—be it through the Preble Spring and Summer Research Awards, or having research activities fulfill part of the year’s honors requirements.
- LAS Honors Abroad
LAS Honors is working to develop unique study abroad opportunities for our James Scholars while also collaborating with other honors programs at Illinois.
