Staff and academic professionals honored with college awards

Four will be honored in a ceremony this spring

Four staff members and academic professionals have received college awards for their work and service. 

Four staff members and academic professionals have been honored and recognized by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences for their professional contributions.

Nikki Wynn and Will Mitchell have been recognized with the LAS Academic Professional Award. The honor provides a cash award as well as a salary increment funded by LAS alumni.

Sherri Kiska and Emily Lange have been honored with the LAS Staff Award. The honor comes with a cash award funded by LAS alumni.

The awardees will be celebrated in a ceremony this spring.

Sherri Kiska

Sherri Kiska is an accounting associate for the School of Earth, Society & Environment (SESE). She functions as a specialized manager of the centralized financial administration for multiple SESE units through financial reporting and accounting, financial transaction processing, and supporting facilities.

Emily Lange

Emily Lange is the assistant director of human resources for the Department of Mathematics. She serves as a HR point of contact for the department and coordinates several operations, including employment and hiring practices, appointments and visa processing, and other related HR functions.

Will Mitchell

Will Mitchell works as a principal information technology specialist for Applied Technologies for the Learning in the Arts and Sciences (ATLAS). He works to provide computer technology support and directly plans, researches, procures, and installs computer hardware and software, while also being involved in project management.

Nikki Wynn

Nikki Wynn works as an academic advisor for the Department of Psychology. For the past 10 years, Wynn has provided direct advising to students, maintained department and student files, created lesson plans and syllabi, and assisted with department planning.
