Students graduating with degrees in the following units are invited to participate:
- Political Science
- African Studies
- European Union Studies
- Global Studies
- Individual Plans of Study
- Latin American and Caribbean Studies
- Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies
- South Asian and Middle Eastern Studies
This ceremony is intended for students who are on the May 2026 pending degree list, or plan to graduate in August 2026. Students who graduated in August 2025 or December 2025 and did NOT participate in the LAS Winter Convocation are also invited. Registration is required to attend this ceremony. Registration will open in mid to late February. Email Carlie Fieseler (fiesele1@illinois.edu) if with questions.
Ticket pickup will be reading day Thursday May 7th 9:00-noon, 1:00-4:00 in David Kinley Hall Room 417. Students will be guaranteed up to eight (8) tickets, additional ticket request will be in the registration form.
For family and friends of graduates who are unable to make it to the ceremony, the event will be live-streamed.
